unread facsimile copy of the original 1888 Ward Lock first edition in book form (includes the business advertisements of the day); the book is a paperback complete with stiff red card dustjacket; the publisher produced two limited edition runs of this book in 1993, 100 copies of the 'Presentation Facsimile Edition' and 500 copies of the 'Special Facsimile Edition' - the book itself is the same for both, with the different limited edition details printed on the front flap of the dustjacket; it seems that this book was intended to be sold with a slipcase, red leather for the 'Presentation' variant and red cloth for the 'Special'; slipcased copies are very scarce so we assume that production problems meant that not many found their way onto the market - we have seen a red leather slipcase and found that the limited edition details embossed on the back were both poor quality and not parallel with the bottom edge.
